Scott Fossum Obituary, Death – Becker County, Minnesota. A man from Fargo was operating a snowmobile on Sunday when it flipped over in a ditch located north of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The incident occurred in Minnesota. On the spot, a medical examiner determined that the man had passed away. According to Todd Glander, the sheriff of Becker County, the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 5:30 p.m. reporting a single snowmobile accident in the area of the intersection of County Highway 32 and South Cotton Lake Road in Erie Township. The location of the accident was described as being in the vicinity of South Cotton Lake Road and County Highway 32.
According to the information provided by the caller, the individual who was driving the snowmobile was named Scott Fossum, and he was 34 years old. The caller also reported that Mr. Fossum was unresponsive and not breathing. After being carried there by emergency services, Fossum was pronounced dead at St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes, where he had been placed after being transported there. The information that was acquired at the scene of the accident suggests that Fossum was unable to maintain control of his snowmobile and rolled into the ditch, as stated by Glander; however, the reason for the accident is still being looked into at this time. Fossum’s head was not protected by a helmet at the time of the collision, as evidenced by the fact that he was not wearing one.
