Sean Hayhurst, Death – This morning, a member of the MARMC family named Mr. Sean Hayhurst passed away unexpectedly. It is with deep regret that I must inform you of this news. Sean began his career at MARMC in our Outside Machine Shop, and he is currently working as the Hoist Shop Work Supervisor in C952 in this location.
Since he joined our team three years ago, he has been an integral member of our larger family, and he has always shown an extraordinary level of commitment to the Navy and to our organization. Recent accolades bestowed upon Sean include those of Junior Civilian of the Quarter (3rd) and Junior Civilian of the Year for 2022 at the Marine Corps Junior Civilian Center.
He was an important part of our team and a wonderful person in every way who will be greatly missed in all aspects of life. During this painful time that we are all going through together, please remember Sean’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. If you are one of the people who worked closely with Sean and would like to talk to someone, please get in touch with either your supervisor, Chaplain Friebel, or any of the counselors that are on staff here.
We are here for you and will offer our support as well as the tools you need to make it through this challenging time. Please do not risk your safety in any way, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for one another.
Thank you.
