Sidney Melanson Death, Obituary – We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Sidney Joseph Melanson, who was 81 years old and lived in Joggins. It was not too long ago that he passed away, and it is with a heavy heart that we share the news of his passing with you at this time. At the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Sidney passed away on the tenth day of January, which fell on a Tuesday in the year 2023. He was a patient there. Both of his parents, Sidney “Sunshine” Melanson and Agnes (Edwards) Melanson, had already died away prior to the time that he was born in Joggins, thus he was raised by his grandparents. At this point, both of his parents had passed away from their illnesses.
Sidney was a wonderful brother, uncle, brother-in-law, great-grandfather, and great-grandfather, in addition to being a beautiful husband and parent. He also was a good husband and father. A week ago, he suddenly died for no apparent reason. In addition to that, he was the brother-in-law of the individual who previously held the role of his brother-in-law. His wife Helen (Jones), his daughter Sandra (Darren) Anderson, his grandchildren Jessica, Cole, Owen, Daniel, and Marissa, his great-granddaughters Addison and Tara, and his siblings Doris, Joan, Gloria, Janice, Brenda, and Bruce, along with their families, will grievously miss him.
His passing will also be deeply felt by his great-granddaughters Addison and Tara. His great-granddaughters Addison and Tara will miss him terribly and will feel a terrible sense of loss as a result of his demise. The lives of all of the people who are a part of his extended family will be profoundly altered as a result of his passing away. His son Paul and two of his brothers, Jackie and Clifford, had already left before he did. His mother and father had both passed away before him, and both his mother and father as well as his son Paul had also passed away before him. The Jones Family Funeral Centre, which can be found in Amherst at 70 Church Street, is in charge of managing and directing the preparations that are being made at the moment.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with them if you have any inquiries or issues. They are accountable for the administration of the arrangements, which is within their sphere of responsibility and falls within their purview (902-667-8777). Since it was Sidney’s choice to have his ashes incinerated, there will be no public viewing or funeral service held in his honor. Instead, his ashes will be scattered at sea. Instead, cremation will be used to dispose of his body. Sidney’s bones have already been cremated; the ceremony to do so has already taken place.
