Sylvia Blanchard Obituary, Death – The New Hampshire State Police are inconsolable over the loss of such a valuable employee as Sylvia Blanchard, who had worked for the agency in the past as executive secretary and had only recently retired from that position. Blanchard passed away recently, and she had only recently retired from her previous position. On the day that she left, which was January 8th, 2023, she was at her house in Keene where she had been living up until that point.
At the time of her passing in the comfort of her own home, she was surrounded by those who loved her most. She was already 80 years old at that point in time, having already passed that milestone in her life. Over the course of more than twenty-nine years, Sylvia served the New Hampshire State Police Troop C in Keene in the capacity of Executive Secretary.
Her service lasted throughout the course of the organization’s history as a whole. She was in a situation in which she was able to take a great deal of satisfaction from her work, and she was having the time of her life doing it while also having a great deal of fun. She has divulged that she would formally resign from her position sometime in the summer of 2020, and she made the news herself.
She holds the distinction of being the very first civilian worker to ever be hired in the state of New Hampshire during the year in question, earning her the title “very first worker ever hired in the state of New Hampshire.” Sylvia was recognized by the New Hampshire State Troopers Association as one of the individuals deserving of the honor of being able to call themselves life members of the association.
