Todd Miller Obituary, Death –
Longtime friend Todd Miller suffered from a variety of health problems over the course of the past year, but he appeared to be making a good recovery. On Monday afternoon, I gave him a call, and we ended up having a conversation that lasted for half an hour. He made an excellent sound. I learned of Todd’s passing at the age of 51 from a post that was made on Facebook this morning by a friend with whom we shared a connection. The moment I got home, I dialed his number. There was not a response. After that, I saw the posts from his family confirming that he had in fact already passed away. I’m still in shock, just like everyone else who knew him. He had a kind and humorous demeanor. Everyone had great regard for him. Please accept my sincere sympathies on behalf of his family.
The path that Todd’s professional life took him down lead him to work in senior housing administration for almost 40 years. He went on a lot of trips, both domestically and internationally. He was an enthusiastic student of both history and theology. His brand of cynical humor made him famous among his peers. He wrote Christmas letters that were truly enjoyable to receive by their recipients. Above all else, he treasured the time he got to spend with his family as well as his many lifelong friends and loyal companions.
During Todd’s illness, he and his family received compassionate treatment from the professionals at the Froedtert West Bend Cancer Center, including Dr. Colin J. Mooney and Dr. Candice Johnstone. Todd and his family are extremely grateful to both of them, as well as to the rest of the team there. In addition, the family would like to express their gratitude to the medical staff at Kathy Hospice, including the doctor, nurses, and CNAs, for the exceptional and selfless care that they provided to Todd.
