Tommy Joe Kauffman Obituary, Death – The news of Tommy Joe Kauffman’s passing has left all of us in a state of profound grief. Before taking early retirement at the age of 71, he served as the Maintenance Director for the CBHA. It is impossible to overstate how much he will be missed.
A memorial service will be held in the spring of this year, at which time Tom’s family and friends will be able to make arrangements for secure travel to Spokane, Washington, where he spent his final years of life. The final resting place for both his and his wife Leah’s cremains will be at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, Washington. His family would like to express their gratitude to everyone who has expressed their sympathies and shared their personal memories of Tommy.
He was a kind and giving person whose highest satisfaction came from spending time with his loved ones and friends while reveling in life to the fullest. Every room that Tom entered was brightened by the contagious excitement and spirit that he brought with him.
There are three children, Kim (Brad Kluesner) Menke of Roscoe, Kalli (Doug) Loversky of Oxnard, CA, and Britton (Katie) Kauffman of Davis, as well as a former son-in-law, Mike Menke of Roscoe, and a total of six grandchildren: Ellyn and Carson Menke, Dani and Christian Loversky, and Tyler and Hannah Kauffman.
