Tracy Gay Obituary, Death – It is with great sadness that we must inform you of the demise of our beloved friend and fellow officer and detective Tracy Gay. On January 4th, Det. Gay went away for reasons that are yet unknown.
Detective Gay has devoted the past three decades of his life to serving the community as a law enforcement officer. It was in April of 1993 when he started working for the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
Since then, he has worked his way up through the ranks and is currently the Lieutenant in charge of the Criminal Investigation Division. During the month of November in 2009, Detective Gay took a break from his line of work, although it was only for a little while. Because he felt that he needed to continue answering the call he had received to help others, he enlisted in the Bryant Police Department in August of 2011.
He went back to patrolling the streets as a patrol officer in order to work his way back to the aspect of his job that he enjoyed the most, which was being a criminal investigator. Detective Gay was an exceptional law enforcement officer who approached each day with the utmost dedication and honesty in the performance of his duties.
He was a positive force in the lives of a great number of people and had a significant influence on this organization. Because of his passing, he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of his friends during this difficult time. We shall be thankful till the end of time that we were able to know him, that we were able to serve with him, and, more than anything else, that he was our friend.
Now that all is over, Detective Tracy Gay may finally relax. From from point forward, we will handle everything.
