William Little Obituary, Death – Bill was born in Hazard, Kentucky, in 1932, and his birthday is on June 9th. His birthplace is in the year 1932. After having spent his entire childhood in the city of Knoxville, Tennessee, he graduated from Old Knoxville High School in 1950 to earn his high school diploma. Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force in January of 1952, shortly after completing a brief period of study at the University of Tennessee. He served in the Air Force and was assigned to the communications division during the duration of the Korean War.
He was stationed in Korea for two separate tours. In Korea, he was in charge of mending a variety of different communication equipment. Bill was issued a discharge from the service with distinction in the month of December in the year 1954. After finishing his time of service in the Air Force, Bill attended the University of Tennessee in order to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics. In the year 2020, Bill was honored by our department, which bestowed upon him the Korean War Ambassador for Peace Medal as a token of our gratitude.
On January 19, 2023, Bill’s life was cut tragically short by his passing. He was 90 years old at that point in time. Bill will be laid to rest at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville. This cemetery is located in the state of Tennessee.
