William Noonan Obituary, Death – The Abilene Fire Department is sorry to hear that William “Bill” Noonan has died, and we send our deepest condolences to his family. Bill was a good friend to AFD, and we will miss having him around. Since he was an architect, he worked a lot on designing and building Abilene’s Fire Stations 3, 4, and 7. He was always professional and had a friendly smile. We want to thank Bill for everything he has done for the Abilene Fire Department and for our city, and we pray that God will give his family the peace and strength they need to get through this hard time.
He liked to read a lot, loved the outdoors, and liked to play golf and go for long walks. The most important thing to him was the time he got to spend with his sweet grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his four daughters, Corine Redwood and her partner Stephen Marranzini of Groton, Janet Wilson and her husband Scott of Stow, Mary Kay Emero and her husband Brian of Chelmsford, and Erin Noonan of Nashua; eleven grandchildren, Katelyn Dunlay and her husband Chris, Sean and Meghan Redwood, Christopher, Zachary, and Alexandra Wilson, Reece, Erika, and Mason Emero; and Lauren,
He was also the brother of Richard Noonan, who died, and the brother-in-law of Tony Scott and Sandra Herbst, who also died. Before him, Richard Noonan, Tony Scott, and Sandra Herbst all died.
